In 1934, at the very height of the Great Depression, Professor Dr. Frederick Smith and brothers Allyne H. and Clarence Smith introduced aerosol whipped cream in reusable canisters to the world. This incredible convenience turned Instantwhip® into a well-recognized name in ice cream parlors, soda fountains and restaurants across the country. Since that time, Instantwhip® Foods' product offering has grown to include a broad array of some of the highest quality dairy and non-dairy products found anywhere.
